Really Simple Syndication, or RSS, is an XML-based format for syndicating and aggregating Web content. It's an easy way to browse new content published by websites. To access RSS in a viewable format, you need to download an RSS reader, many of which are found free of charge on the internet. The new version of Apple's Safari browser has RSS built in, so clicking on an RSS feeds becomes visible in that browser. You could also sign up to a web-based RSS service. Once you have a reader, you can add any feeds from your favorite websites. These feeds are denoted by common RSS images and notations on a growing number of websites. With installation of RSS reader software, you automatically receive RSS feeds, or up-to-date news coverage from your favorite sources, and then may follow the link to the full news story or content.
